APPLICATION FEE
Upon submission of an application, students agree to pay a $250 application fee, which is billed directly to their USD Student Account. This fee becomes NON-REFUNDABLE after the ORIGINAL application deadline has passed. The application fee will be posted to the students' account once they are enrolled in the intersession/summer course, and it must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date.
PROGRAM FEE
This will be billed via Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. The program fee must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date. The program fee includes:
TUITION
The tuition will be billed via Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. All tuition payments must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date. The tuition cost is $1260 per UNIT (3 unit course tuition = $3780; 4 unit EOSC course tuition = $5,040)
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
The following budget items are for student planning purposes only as they are estimates of additional expenses. Actual costs could vary greatly depending on the individual student.
Additional meals: $600+
Local Transportation: $50
Personal expenses: $500
Roundtrip airfare: $1,500-$1,900
INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE
All students participating in a USD-affiliated study abroad program are covered by USD's comprehensive blanket international insurance through AXA/EuropeAssist. Coverage includes medical care and assistance as well as security assistance. For more information on USD's international insurance policy, please visit the Health & Safety page.
