SPAIN: Barcelona
ESADE Business School -Universidad Ramon Llull
Fall/Spring Semester Program
PROGRAM LOCATION
Barcelona, as a city with an openly Mediterranean spirit, offers a wide range of attractive features that make it a fascinating city to live in. The urban transformation that took place on the occasion of the Olympic Games in 1992 and the spectacular opening up of the city to the sea by means of the creation of 15 km of beaches are the most recent innovations in a city rich in architectural treasures, of which the most outstanding is its Gothic and Modernist heritage, with Gaudí as the central figure.
But in addition to its beauty, Barcelona is a lively and cosmopolitan city. Moreover, as an important industrial and business centre it has managed to retain its welcoming character and its interest in intercultural exchange. These features mean that the city can count on professional activity at the highest level in many sectors. Add to all this its magnificent climate and Barcelona's popularity as a pleasant place to live becomes evident.
