Program Description:
As the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona is known for its rich cultural history and physical beauty. The city’s architectural, artistic, and cultural heritage prevails in its 2,000 years of history. Situated between scenic mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is Spain’s major seaport. Today, Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, and cultural-sports centers. Its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.  

Located at the Barcelona-Pedralbes campus, ESADE Law School was founded in 1992 and is part of the Ramon Llull University. ESADE Law School’s prime European location allows students to take coursework with an emphasis on international business law and intellectual property, as well as European Union law. ESADE Law School is the only law school in Spain to have a Professional Council consisting of representatives from all legal professions and over 30 internationally renowned law firms. Students must be fluent in Spanish.

Language Abilities: During the fall term, courses are offered in English and Spanish. During the spring term, courses are offered in Spanish only.
Students wishing to enroll during the spring term, or students wishing to take a course in Spanish during the fall term, must be fluent in Spanish.
*Spanish B2 certificate or equivalent is required for proof of language fluency

Availability of Program: Students may attend in either the fall or spring semesters.  Students may not attend the program during their last semester of law school. 
 
Academic Calendar: The fall term starts beginning of September and ends in December. The spring semester starts end of January through the end of May.
