Catolica Lisbon School of Business & Economics

Semester Program

PROGRAM LOCATION

Catolica Lisbon is location in Lisbon (Portuguese: Lisboa), the capital of Portugal. Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, with a contemporary culture that is alive and thriving and making its mark in today's Europe. Perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Lisbon is one of the rare Western European cities that face the ocean and uses water as an element that defines the city.

Due to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, Lisbon has a pleasant climate throughout the year. The agreeable temperatures in the summer months are an open invitation for a walk by the river, or to spend an afternoon in one of the many street cafés to be found all over the city. Temperatures may fall somewhat in the autumn and winter months, but sunshine is almost always a constant feature.

Lisbon enchants travelers with its white bleached limestone buildings, intimate alleyways, and an easy going charm. The city lies more or less in the center of the country and offers a wide variety of options to the visitor, including beaches, countryside, mountains and areas of historical interest only a few miles away from the city center.
