APPLICATION FEE
Upon submission of an application, the student agrees to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE application fee. This will be billed via USD Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. This amount is charged regardless of any application fees paid directly to a host university or program provider.
TUITION 
Because this study abroad program is partnered with USD, students will pay USD tuition in order to potentially receive financial aid benefits (please check with USD's Office of Financial Aid).

Tuition (12-18 units) is paid directly to USD. Students will be billed via USD Student Accounts. Tuition payment is due in full by the published semester/term due date. Review the deadlines online: Tuition Refund Schedule.
ESTIMATED HOUSING & PROGRAM SUPPORT FEES (billed directly by partner abroad)
Housing costs will vary depending on the type of accommodation selected. Students will pay PUC-Rio directly for housing. 
INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE
All students participating in a USD-affiliated study abroad program are covered by USD's comprehensive blanket international insurance through AXA. Coverage includes medical care and assistance as well as security assistance. For more information on USD's international insurance policy, please visit the Health and Safety page. 

ADDITIONAL ESTIMATED EXPENSES
Student should budget for the the additional expenses listed below plus round-trip airfare. Please note, these expenses could vary greatly depending on the individual student's spending habits, restaurant choices, personal shopping, additional weekend travel plans, etc.
