APPLICATION FEE
Upon submission of an application the student agrees to pay a $250 application fee, which is billed directly to their USD student account. This fee becomes NON-REFUNDABLE after the ORIGINAL application deadline has passed. The application fee will be posted to the students' account once they are enrolled in the intersession/summer course, and it must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date. 
PROGRAM FEE
This will be billed via Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. The program fee must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date and includes:

• Accommodation for the entirety of the program
• Course-related Activities / Program excursions
• Meals (approximately one welcome meal and one optional dinner, subject to change)
TUITION
Tuition is charged per unit, the cost for tuition may vary per course based on the number of units of the class. The tuition will be billed via Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. All tuition payments must be paid in full 10 days prior to the program start date. *
ADDITIONAL ESTIMATED EXPENSES
The following budget items are for student planning purposes only, as they are estimates of additional expenses.  Actual costs could vary greatly depending on the individual student.

Additional meals: $800
Local transportation: $150
Personal expenses: $500
Personal travel: $500 (completely depends on if you take a weekend trip)
Roundtrip airfare: $1,500-$1,700

Flight cancellation insurance (strongly recommended): This will cover the cost of your flight in the event of an emergency (needing to cancel at the last minute or return home earlier than expected). The price will vary based on the overall cost of your airline ticket. Contact your travel agent or Ken Darrow at Universal Travel (858-456-7887) to learn more about this coverage and approximate costs.
INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE
All students participating in a USD-affiliated study abroad program are covered by USD's comprehensive blanket international insurance through AXA Assistance.
