Upon submission of an application, the student agrees to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE $100 USD study abroad application fee. This will be billed via USD Student Accounts and should be paid directly to USD. This amount is charged regardless of any application fees paid directly to a host university or program provider.
Tuition (12-18 units) is paid directly to USD. Students will be billed via USD Student Accounts. Tuition payment is due in full 10 days prior to the program start date. Students selecting the Early Start program option will be assessed 1,250 Euro, charged to their USD Student Account. This fee includes tuition for the Early Start course.
Program Fee / Housing
Housing costs vary depending on the type of accommodation selected and the exchange rate.
There are two choices for accommodation at Cork: on-campus dorms or off-campus apartments, both of which are explained below.
NOTE: The vast majority of USD students prefer the off-campus apartments because they are closer to the city center.
UCC Campus Accommodation aims to provide "a home away from home" for its international students. It is more than just a place to eat and sleep - it provides a background for social, cultural and sporting outlets and the chance to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. The on-campus residential accommodation runs from mid-August to the beginning of June, and it is comprised of three purpose-built accommodation blocks: Castlewhite Apartments, Victoria Lodge and University Hall. All of the buildings are self-catered, meaning there is no meal plan. Most rooms are en-suite and all have 24 hour internet access. They are mostly single bedrooms, sharing living and kitchen facilities with 2-4 others. A small number of twin rooms are available. Campus Accommodation is fully furnished. Pillows and duvets are available for purchase, at cost price, from reception. The on-campus accommodation is a 10-15 minute walk from the campus center, and a 30-minute walk from the city center. To book on-campus housing you will need to contact the UCC campus accommodation office after your official acceptance to the program (instructions included in acceptance packet).
Housing fees for on-campus housing will be charged to your USD student account.

Students who choose off-campus housing will live at Arcadia Hall Apartments, which is a short walk from the city center, and about a 10-minute bus ride from campus. This private apartment complex houses mostly international students, along with a small percentage of Irish students. Leases are available on a semester basis. All apartments have 3-4 single bedrooms. There is no meal plan associated with this apartment. To book a room at Arcadia, you will need to contact Justin Berens (firstname.lastname@example.org) after you have received your official acceptance packet from Cork.

Electricity: This will be a monthly charge of about 20 Euro per person
Rent: €1,440 for one semester

Housing fees for off-campus housing are paid independently, and will NOT be charged to your USD student account.
Housing at UCC
All students participating in a USD-affiliated study abroad program are covered by USD's international insurance policy through ACE/EuropAssist. The following items are only estimates of additional expenses. These additional expenses could vary greatly depending on the individual student's spending habits, restaurant choices, personal shopping and additional travel plans:
