International Experience:
I lived in Paris for a month, which was a great opportunity to speak French with the locals. In addition to France, I have travelled to England, Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.

Why I wanted to be peer advisor in the Study Abroad Office: It's so important for students to study abroad. It's such an eye-opening experience that will change a person, in the best way possible. I was so nervous when I studied abroad, because I've never been away from home for so long, but I found that by the end of my trip, I didn't want to leave. I could see myself living abroad for a whole summer, and maybe even a whole year. And I think everyone deserves that opportunity.

Best advice for students planning to study abroad: Do anything and everything. Stay up late, wake up early, do all the touristy (and not so touristy) stuff. Make friends with the locals, but be smart with who you hang out with. Try to speak the language as often as possible, even if you don't really know it. Go out, but be safe. Get to know the city, as if it were your home town. Even if you're sick, get out bed and site see, you'll regret it more if you don't. Make the most of your experience, because you never know when you'll be back.
