Alanna Armstrong- Vienna
Name: Alanna Armstrong
Languages: English and German
Study Abroad Program: IES Vienna Fall 2011
International Experience: I studied and lived in Vienna, Austria for a semester. From both this semester and trips with family and friends, I have visited countries including Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, England, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Holland, Turkey, Aruba, and Canada.
Why I wanted to be a peer advisor in the Study Abroad Office: I knew when I started college that I wanted to study abroad during my academic career. However, even knowing this, I could never have anticipated the impact studying abroad would have on my perspective of life and of other cultures. I think that studying abroad is an amazing experience and would love to be able to share my experiences with others interested in considering this wonderful opportunity.
Best advice for students planning to study abroad: Take advantage of everything. Don't be afraid to try new things and meet new people. Explore as much as you can and as often as you can. As they told us in Vienna..."SQUEEZE THE JUICE!"firstname.lastname@example.org
