SECOND YEAR EXPERIENCE ABROAD for the CLASS OF 2015

APPLICATIONS FOR SELECT SITES AND CLASSES STILL BEING ACCEPTED!

Academic Component:  While abroad, students take one three-unit academic course taught by a USD faculty member (see below for course offerings in each location).

Experiential Learning Component: 
Students will be assigned to an Experiential Learning Group. These groups will be organized and led by current USD Student Affairs staff members who will meet with the students prior to departure, on-site in each location, and at USD upon return. Within these groups students will participate in cultural and social activities both in San Diego and abroad. 

Program Cost: The program cost for the Second Year Experience Abroad Program for 2013 is $4500. This cost includes the following: three units of tuition, housing (3 weeks), class-related activities abroad, cultural activities abroad, excursions, some meals and international health insurance.

Application Process: The priority deadline for the SYE Abroad 2013 program is December 1, 2011.  The final deadline is February 17, 2012. NOTE: APPLICATIONS ARE STILL BEING ACCEPTED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. There is a $500 program fee deposit due with the application. This deposit is refundable as follows:

SYE Abroad 2013 Refund Policy: When students submit their application to the International Center, they also submit a non-refundable program deposit at $500. Should students withdraw from the program after application submission, they will be held to the following refund schedule:

 WITHDRAWAL AUGUST 11 - SEPTEMBER 14, 2012: Additional $500 due
 WITHDRAWAL SEPTEMBER 15 - NOVEMBER 14, 2012: Additional $1000 due
 WITHDRAWAL AFTER NOVEMBER 15, 2012: No program fee refunds granted

Logistics: Details regarding program housing and calendar for each location will be made available to all enrolled students.

Eligibility: Students participating in this program must have an anticipated graduation date of 2015.
